II. RECAPITULATION OF GOD'S PROMISES AND PROVISION FOR THE REDEEMED:
. . A. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God (2:7)
. . B. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and l will give you the crown of life. . . . He who overcomes will not be hurt
. . . . at all by the second death (2:10-11).
. . C. To him who overcomes, i will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written
. . . . on it, known only to him who receives it (2:17).
. . D. To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations — will rule them with an iron
. . . . scepter; he will dash them to pieces like pottery — just as I have received authority from my Father. I will also give
. . . . him the morning star (2:26-28).
. . E. He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never erase his name from the book of life, but will
. . . . acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels (3:5).
. . F. Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of My God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the
. . . . name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from
. . . . My God; and I will also write on him My new name (3:11-12).
. . G. Here I am. I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him,
. . . . and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat
. . . . down with My Father on His throne (3:20-21).
. . H. And they sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain, and with
. . . . Your blood You purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to
. . . . be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth (5:9-l0).
. . I. “. . . the souls of those who had been slain . . . each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a
. . . . little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was
. . . . comoleted (6:9-ll).
. . J. Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out . . . “Do not harm
. . . . the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” Then I heard the
. . . . number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel (7:2-4).
. . K. After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people
. . . . and language standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. . . And He said, “These are they who have come out
. . . . of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made thea white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, they
. . . . are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His
. . . . tent over them. Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any
. . . . scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; He will lead them to springs of living
. . . . water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes (7:9, 13-17).
. . L. And I will give power to My two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth. . . . But after
. . . . three days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them.
. . . . Then they heard a loud voice froa heaven saying to them, ‘Come up here.’ And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while
. . . . their enemies looked on (11:3, 11-12).
. . M. Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that
. . . . you will not receive any of her plagues (12:4).
. . N. Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself
. . . . ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear. (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.)
. . . . (19:7-8).
. . O. I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had
. . . . been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They came to life and reigned with
. . . . Christ a thousand years. . . . Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no
. . . . power over them but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years (20:4-6).
. . P. And I heard a loud voice froa the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They
. . . . will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There
. . . . will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (21:3-4).
. . Q. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and
. . . . I will be his God and he will be My son (21:6-7).
. . R. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and His servants will serve Him. They will see His face, and His
. . . . name will be on their foreheads. . . . And they will reign for ever and ever (22:3-5).
